If you're bored of Christmas already, DH and I have finished another stop motion video with our wooden trains...about Sheep....!

We planned to finish this video for our 1 year anniversary of making stop motion. That was in July. There was Covid. And we decided to move house. The toddler has been very.....toddlerish..... so here it is in December.

But maybe people want something different!

So here it is. .

(Or, if not, last year we did manage to make a Christmas one called )

The back story is that we find lots of vidoes made for children a bit creepy....and bright and fast and loud. So we decided to make our own. And it was a good excuse to make a train room for ourselves and buy a load of BRIO on ebay....

Fabulous OP. I thoroughly enjoyed it and your stop motion filming is great!

Thank you! This one was a remake, because we've learnt SO MUCH over the past 18 months and felt we really didn't do the story justice. Amazing what you can learn just by trying stuff out.

My 8 year old son will absolutely love this. He has autism and this kind of thing is right up his street! I will show him them on boxing day when he will be needing some down time!

Rubberduckies · 24/12/2020 19:58

@ThisMustBeMyDream we actually started making them for our nephew because he was watching (and reciting) Thomas on repeat and it was driving the family to distraction! Part of the reason there is absolutely no narration!

So cute and great x

Loved the sheep film! Though if I am completely honest, I watched it hoping for a cattle grid-sheep maneuvering, as described on the thread, "I learned something completely fascinating".
Love a stop motion film I do. The late Ray Harryhausen is a God in my house.

@willowmelangell Oh I missed that thread, will have to search for it. We will definitely be using the sheep again...will need to bring in a cattle grid!

Glad people like them! Hope everyone is having a lovely day :)
