Am I going to poison my ex?!

My ex is coming to spend Christmas Day with me and our children. I am vegetarian and the kids won’t eat turkey so I bought a small, prepared piece of turkey from the supermarket and froze it. Now I’ve read the back 🙄 and it says it’s not suitable for freezing as it has been previously frozen.

Now, my ex is a PITA but the kids are quite fond of him 😂 and I hadn’t planned to bump him off.. should I cook it and hope for the best or suggest he enjoy a nice slice of my nut roast instead? WWYD? Cook it? Please help!

Actually no I would explain to him then he can make the (final) choice

Àll the refreezing will do is change the texture slightly, it doesn't affect the safety.

You can refreeze previously frozen meat, as long as it has been refrozen from cold and defrosted properly when you come to use it. I would make sure it is cooked properly before serving, but the worse I would think that would happen is the texture might be slightly different due to the second freezing.

Thank you for the replies!

That’s interesting goose, I didn’t know that. I will tell him, Aardvark, although I think he would rather risk his Heath than eat nut roast 🙄😂

I've done the same,m this year, bought pre-cooked and frozen. We taste tested a portion last night and are still alive today so it'll be fine op Wine

That’s encouraging MasterOfCaffeine! I was starting to think I was going to have to make a mad dash to Tesco!
