Tell me about Gin

My secret Santa got me a gin gift set! It’s a collection of different flavours.

DP and I are not massive Gin fans and are wondering how you drink yours? What do you use as a mixer? Or do you just have it straight?

The different flavours are pink, clementine and Sloe. Any tips on what goes best with each?

DW always thought she hated gin, as it was only ever served with tonic and it turns out she doesnt like tonic!

She loves a pink gin with lemonade, and the other two will work well with it.

Not a great fan of pink gin, but sloe gin is lovely and citrus flavours usually work well with gin.
I like tonic water, possibly a flavoured one with the pink, elderflower might be nice, plain with the sloe and perhaps add a twist of lemon with the clementine and tonic.
Enjoy!

Sloe gin is nice drunk straight. I would mix the others with tonic water.

Flavoured gins I'd drink with plain tonic. Aldi cans are great, a good rip off of fevertree and fresh because they're in small cans. Nothing worse than flat tonic! With plain gins I like a flavoured tonic. Enjoy!

Fever tree tonic is the only thing I will accept in gin. Proper stuff NOT Slimline. 60ml gin, 150ml tonic, tonnes of ice, slice of grapefruit, slice of orange, little spritz of lime juice on top, enjoy with salted nuts and olives. Aw mannnn that's what I'm having once Christmas prep is all done!
