Christmas floods

Anyone else enjoying Christmas floods on top of everything else? Our house doesn't flood thankfully but the town can become an island. I think we'll be able to get out to my mums for lunch tomorrow, but it's not guaranteed.

At the other end of my village the drains are bubbling like fountains and apparently they can't flush their toilets. Poor buggers.

There are several new lakes appeared in the fields overnight but we're on a hill so we've been lucky.

What a nightmare for people who have flooded houses. Sad

We have flooding all over town whilst it's hadn't affected our home it's has affected some of our friends. My dopey husband drove through the floods to get into work this morning. The agency's trying to clear it up are working tirelessly and I know that lots of families have had to be evacuated Sad

The floodplains and fields are looking really full but the river gauges are not terrible, it's all surface water but of course the water has nowhere to go! River peak predicted tomorrow evening.

Well that all adds to the shiteness, doesn't it?
