Dominoes tonight - how long to allow??

FusionChefGeoff · 24/12/2020 13:57

Wanted to pre order but looks like they don't allow that. Normally host a party so never done take away and guessing it will be reeeeeaaally busy?!!

Any suggestions on how to make sure we're all fed at a relatively decent time??

I’m planning to put my order in at four!

FusionChefGeoff · 24/12/2020 14:13

I guess we can always reheat if it randomly only takes half an hour!

Call them and ask, it will vary from restaurant to restaurant

Tbh I can’t imagine that many people will be ordering dominos on Christmas Eve unless there’s a special offer on, so I doubt it will be the busiest day of the year for them.

GeidiPrimes · 24/12/2020 14:19

Yeah, call them and ask. I live just around the corner from one and it usually arrives within half an hour.

FusionChefGeoff · 24/12/2020 14:34

I guess I'm assuming we're not the only ones who would normally have family over but are on our own instead - so I'm expecting this will be busier that normal for takeaways.

Yes I'll see if I can dig out a number for the local one and give them a call

Have you got a code?

SlippersForFlippers · 24/12/2020 15:49

On the app if you add what you want to your basket and then go to the basket page it will tell you what the delivery time is mine currently says 24 - 36 minutes delivery.

TheGreatWave · 24/12/2020 16:03

We're having dominos too tonight. Usually we would go to McDonald's after church but seeing that neither of them can happen, pizza at home it is.

Planning to order about 5pm. I think you can ask for "as soon as" or set a time.

FusionChefGeoff · 24/12/2020 16:05

@RozHuntleysStump

Have you got a code?
No - why do you have one you can share GrinGrin

Now that is a very handy tip I will get it in the basket and keep an eye on the time

The app has all the deals on it too so you don't need a code if you order through it.

WREATH50

50% off when you spend £25

(Think just pizza but better than nothing)

RozHuntleysStump · 24/12/2020 19:31

I got one texted to me. Christma for 50% off.

Eggmcmuffin · 24/12/2020 20:00

Mine was super quick and still hot, better than usual service!

jackstini · 24/12/2020 20:17

I read this and thought 'you limit the time for dc to play dominoes?!' Grin

willowmelangell · 24/12/2020 21:11

@jackstini well there is the hold-cards-in-hand-dc-dominoes or the tiles dominoes propped up on table. Complete with 'no peeking!' Either way, I also thought of the table gameGrin
