Hi,

I'm about to start my first placement after Christmas based at a hospital, but not on wards. I'll be at a day clinic for people with dementia

Any recommendations for a decent pair of shoes? Im also 6 weeks pregnant with a baaad back, and very prone to growing humongous babies; so they'll need to be comfy haha.

So excited to start!

Waterproofing spray is fine for fabric shoes as well as suede, get the big cans for tents and sleeping bags and reapply every few months or if you wash them.

I'm a nurse and I have the Clark Un Loop.

Good god they're hideous. But they've sorted my plantar fasciitis right out. They're the most supportive shoes on earth and basically bullet proof.

There will be Clarks Loops on every single ward you work on. We just don't look down at our feet. Grin

Clarks u loop
I've worn them on lots of wards ans they're easy to wash and wipe (amazing where bodily fluids can get!)
