I'm looking for a panto we can all watch tomorrow night? Kids are 5. I don't mind paying as long as it's a good one.

Curzon Home Cinema had Peter Duncan's Jack and the Beanstalk which I think the 5 year olds will enjoy.

We've seen that one through the school (well they did, I was working). Thanks tho

Mercury Theatre, Colchester has a brilliant Cinderella.

PandemicPavolova · 24/12/2020 08:05

Cbeebies have some good ones

Dick Whittington 2020 at the National Theatre, streaming on youtube. Brilliant!

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 24/12/2020 08:07

I've not watched it yet but every year we go to The Northern Stage in Newcastle and they are streaming their production this year.

BoattoBolivia · 24/12/2020 08:10

Watched the National Theatre one yesterday and it was very good. My 10 year old didn't want to watch it and left the room but wandered back about 15 minutes in and ending up totally engaging- booed the baddy, shouted behind you etc. Lots for adults, slightly riskè jokes, songs and a socially distanced pantomime horse. It is Dick Whittington so they got more than their money's worth out of Dick- that nearly had Ds crying with laughter 🙄

Awesome everyone thank you.

I love the cebeebies ones for the kids but I want to watch as well (we'd usually see one at a theatre) and they do make me want to scratch my own skin off.

The CBeebies one is really good this year though. I usually hate watching them too. The songs are great Smile

We have brought one from the Deco in Northampton, we haven't seen it yet (we have booked for sunday) but have heard good reviews. shows2home.co.uk/sleeping-beauty/?fbclid=IwAR0e-xLHXh6fHugBuTIvoaZDaGTpkcHUYbeg5U03wucH2SgZUKPfAsZBu3E

Hope you find a good one :)

Nottingham Playhouse has a choice of two- one suitable for younger children and one more traditional one. Bristol old vic have a good deal where you can watch a selection of shows for 12.99 until February. Worth doing for swallows and amazons alone I think!

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 24/12/2020 08:20

Not great for your 5 year olds but once they are in bed or if you have older children too The Goes Wrong Show on I player has a new season out and the first episode is the Nativity, it's pure farce and from the cast of The Show that Goes Wrong.
