I'm confused, I thought beauty salons were shut (Tier 4)?

I had beauty appointments scheduled for tomorrow

Had a text message on Saturday saying they were now shut til further notice

And then another today saying 'look forward to seeing you tomorrow' Confused

I assumed it was an automated message but I've just gone on the site and there are appointments to book tomorrow

doesn't surprise me at all

and we wonder how this has spread so quick and why lockdowns aren't working

ApolloandDaphne · 22/12/2020 21:52

Or maybe they haven't updated their website properly

rollinggreenhills · 22/12/2020 21:53

They've cocked up with their online thing. They can't open.

LaurieFairyCake · 22/12/2020 21:53

This is a massive salon with about 10 staff Confused

That did shut and has possibly reopened again - in a busy high street where everyone will see it open - including the police

The online thing can't be cocked up as there's times you can't book/staff you can't book hour to hour so it's definitely booked

They most prob a haven't blocked there calendar. It would of been such a rush and panic after the announcement on Saturday. Also the texts will be automatic.

Some of your credit card details here OP so we are taking it down for you

Lookatthat · 22/12/2020 22:18

That just looks like they haven’t updated their booking system. The slots were probably the ones that they’d set up for when they thought they’d be open.

LaurieFairyCake · 22/12/2020 22:19

Well no because that's my credit card on there and you can pay to book Grin

As others have said, they probably just haven’t turned the online booking off.

Puppylucky · 22/12/2020 22:22

It's a mistake most probably. I booked a massage treatment on the off chance that it was allowed on medical grounds. The booking was accepted and payment taken which was promptly refunded once a human being got involved.

Chloemol · 22/12/2020 22:43

@LaurieFairyCake

As others have said they probably haven’t updated the website. Therefore you can still book appointments and pay, but they will be closed

Confuzzlediddled · 22/12/2020 22:45

They probably haven't updated the website. We hired a restaurant for our wedding reception and someone came in insisting that as they had booked on the website they were entitled to a table. Mistakes happen.
