What are people wearing this week?

Lots of people wearing jeans and glittery jumpers but actually it’s still pretty warm down South so no gloves/ scarves/hats unless dog walking.
I’ve got a long maxi red dress from free cycle that doesn’t appear to crease so wearing that in the drive to parents.
Anyone excited about dressing up or have we given up this year?
Not asking in style and beauty because they all bonkers.

Clean pyjamas.

Seriouslymole · 22/12/2020 21:30

Same as usual - jeans, t-shirt, jumper and my beautiful new dog walking boots (which are already filthy but I love them - style, class, waterproof - my mother-in-law died at the start of the year and left us a bit of money - we gave ourselves £100 to treat ourselves to something - they are my treat). We were supposed to be going to my parents but Johnson and his band of merry twats put paid to that so no need to think of anything to wear for the journey.

I've pretty much given up - the only new clothes that I have bought are hoodies and joggers (WFH since March). I'm not buying nice clothes until I'm allowed out somewhere to wear them!

Leggings and comfy hoodies here. I might wear a dress on Christmas Day, but I’m not sure DH and DS will appreciate the effort so might just stick to comfies...

magicstar1 · 22/12/2020 21:43

Jogging bottoms - I can barely squeeze into my last pair of jeans and I want to be able to breathe on Christmas Day. Blush

PJs and dressing gown indoors and being as the only place im going this week is Aldis tomorrow to do shopping till Friday when i will put a pair of jeans tee shirt and jumper on as kids coming for Christmas day dinner

When I am in the house it is comic book tshirts and joggers or pj bottoms. When I go out of the house I swap the bottoms for high waist skinny jeans so that I can wear my boots over the top. It is too fucking muddy everywhere I go to wear trainers. Right now I am in a lovely grey Avengers tshirt and white fluffy pj bottoms with a red reindeer print.

Pure fashion, me Grin

As somebody who likes S&B and is therefore bonkers:
Christmas Eve - dungarees and a sparkly polo neck jumper
Christmas Day - sparkly t-shirt and a black tube skirt

SkintSanta · 22/12/2020 21:46

@Seriouslymole oooh which dog waking boots? I need a new pair

dudsville · 22/12/2020 21:50

COS had a dress in a sale recently. They thought it was something a person could wear outside in public. It buttons up the front, goes to my shins, it's a nice cotton with a gentle blue /white stripe and has fabulous pockets and a good collar but it's massive. It is THE PERFECT house dress, and when it gets cooler I just pop on an equally large cardigan. Of an evening I shower and don fabulous pyjamas.

dudsville · 22/12/2020 21:50

I might try it with a belt in summer...

OrangeGinLemonFanta · 22/12/2020 21:56

I did buy a lovely red and black printed midi dress to wear on Christmas Day, and I will do my hair and makeup, in an attempt to make it feel a bit more festive.

Thewinterofdiscontent · 22/12/2020 22:01

dudsville ideal!

Loving the dungarees and glittery top idea. I’d forgotten about the ones I bought in the summer.

A bigger size than last week.

Passthecake30 · 22/12/2020 22:04

Every other day - joggers, old T-shirt, hoody. Xmas day - joggers, Xmas T-shirt, Xmas jumper.
If I go for a walk, I’ll change into my jeans.

NoShitHemlock · 22/12/2020 22:04

I put a bra on today for the first time in a fortnight pats self on back

Iceland would NOT have been prepared for me going in braless.....

A maskSmile

TheChosenTwo · 22/12/2020 22:32

Of my god I had a dream the other day that I owned dungarees that you’ve just reminded me of Grin
As for what I’m wearing this week, just my normal clothes, leggings and long jumper dresses - fine for both being lazy at home and for going out for walks (with wellies) etc.
Won’t be getting dressed up for Christmas, I never do as I’m always at home hosting a houseful - I’ve never gotten dressed up to sit about at home, it’s way too much effort for absolutely no reason for me Grin yes, I’m quite lazy...
