Has anyone's young child been prescribed this? Did it work for your child? My just turned 3 year old has been prescribed it but I'm unsure about trying it. Any experiences would be useful

My son used it, not so much once he became a teenager. He started using it from about age 6 I think. It was a huge help in getting him into a better sleep routine.

My ADHD/ASD DS was prescribed this as a young teen. He would only sleep 3 hours without it. It was a lifesaver tbh.
It worked fine but he suddenly refused to take it age 16 saying he didn’t like how it made him feel the next day. I tried it, he’s not wrong. I felt like my head was full of cotton wool and so, so grumpy! However, I still think he would have been a lot worse off going through school on so little sleep. It was only when he stopped taking it that we started getting calls off teachers/head of year that his behaviour & performance was slipping. He aced his mocks but then he, unfortunately after stopping it, just scraped his GCSEs as (due to the pandemic) the final grades were on coursework which had been abysmal.
