Any pharmacists around? Cost of private prescription

Have ended up with a private prescription for Tranexamic acid. Any idea of the likely cost for a month's supply?

(Fully aware medicine often cost more than the NHS charge)

No idea about collection/delivery.

You may have to pop into a pharmacy and ask.

Not all medicine costs more than the NHS prescription charge by the way, it may mean by getting on private prescription that it's actually cheaper. My anti anxiety drugs are cheaper if I get a private prescription.

In the BNF 60 of the 500mg tablets cost between £10 and £15. Not sure how much of a mark up pharmacies make for private prescriptions but don't think it should be any more than double that cost.

Thanks everyone, 3 months x 60 tablets came to £36. Seems some Boots stired starting to offer them over the counter too (not mine yet)
