Antidepressants and pain relief

I've been taking sertraline for a few weeks, for depression. I'm increasingly convinced that it has had the unexpected result of reducing/eliminating various aches and pains in my body. I have two or three wear-and-tear injuries in my shoulder and forearm that have dramatically improved and I also have an incredible feeling of physical ease in other parts of my body -- as if there were a pervasive low level pain that has disappeared.

I know it isn't just a question of my mood lifting and making me percieve pain differently -- it is much more basic than that.

It could be coincidence, of course. There may be another reason for the improvement. But I know that ADs are prescribed for chronic pain.

I wondered if other people had had this experience when taking ADs?
