Hi all

I had a LLETZ procedure on Friday for cin2 cells. I was told that the area to be treated was very small and should heal quickly and I could exercise from Monday.

Tonight I went for an hour long gentle enough walk and when I came home and had a shower (this is gross and I am so sorry) there was something kind of hanging out of...my vag Blush probably should have left it but I gave it a gentle pull and this massive skin like sack came out with what I think was dried up blood inside it. It smelt like dried up blood anyway. Feel like I’ve pulled my uterus out!!! Has anyone had this or know what it is? I’m so worried. Can’t call nurse until the morning now.

For info I had a super light bleed the day of the procedure but nothing since. Still not bleeding.

It might be a blood clot? Has there been any bleeding since? If you feel ok and you’re not bleeding then phone in the morning. If you bleed more or feel unwell I would get some advice tonight.

That sounds awful. Sorry I can’t give you any advice are you in pain? How big was it?

I had LLETZ a few years ago and had light bleeding that then increased to heavy. Not sure I can advise you but I'm pretty sure it's not possible for your uterus to fall out. Maybe ring 111 until you can get to GP tomorrow? Did the hospital give you a leaflet on what to expect after the procedure? Try not to worry, and get some rest tonight.

From what I remember of mine they cauterize during removal and the 'scab' came out at a later date an was grey and eugh!

My bleeding stopped, but then started again after I did a bit too much, so perhaps your lo g walk was too soon and you've pulled the top of the area that was removed off and it's hurting due to that?

I'd take it easy tonight an check with the nursed tomorrow morning.

No bleeding and no pain which is confusing

I wonder if it was the scab @Ingleduh how long did it come out?

I think I had something similar after my biopsy but this same in one massive bit about the size of half of palm Envy (not envy!)

Sorry I meant how long after the procedure did the scab come out @Ingleduh ?

There was a couple within the first week but at most they were the size of a 2p. Definitely not close to the size of half a palm.
No pain is a good thing though, but if they gave you a number to call on your discharge info I'd definitely phone in the morning just to be safe and put your mind at rest.

I will call them in the morning. Thanks @Ingleduh and everyone else for taking the time to respond x
