What food would you start a punch up in the supermarket over?

(Title inspired by another thread - don't actually start one)

What is so essential you couldn't get through Christmas without? And how far would you go to ensure you got it?

@Barabajagal

I will end you with a tea strainer for the last box of loose leaf lapsang souchong.
This sounds like a horrifically painful way to go... 😂

Nothing really. I'm not that bothered any more.

Absolutely nothing....especially this year....I am done...I fucking give up...totally give up...I have tried my best with everyone.....done everything, all present buying, wrapping, sorting...fridge and freezer full thankfully, no worries about anything thankfully, husband still in a secure job thankfully, we are both recovering from COVID which scared me honestly.....stay safe everyone, please......x

@Rainbowandscarlett those tea bags (yellow box) that taste like malted milk biscuits

I think I need more info on these amazing sounding tea bags!!

@Dontsayyouloveme yes! Why are the Warburton's bagels so poor?

My only needs are that DD and DS have what they need (DD is wheat/dairy intolerant, DS eats about seven different food items only). Obviously, we are always very well stocked on these (particularly with Brexit around the corner).

If someone took the last blackcurrant yoghurt I would probably pull a face like Puss In Boots from Shrek Sad Xmas Sad

for me not much as long as I have something sweet and something savoury.
but for dh it would be nutella. has to be brand - won't eat any other hazelnut spread.

I'd consider tripping you up to snatch a proper Melton Mowbray pork pie from your hands. Love a proper pie for Boxing Day!

Dontsayyouloveme · 23/12/2020 22:07

haba the ready sliced ones, start drying out where they’ve been sliced so don’t seem as soft and fresh 😤Plus, I’m sure you get less actual bagel! 🤨

Thisismyusernamefornow · 23/12/2020 22:41

Florentine's.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 23/12/2020 22:44

Marmite

I couldn’t find premium fresh custard for a couple of days in the supermarket near me and I need it for my trifle. Can’t be arsed with making custard. I was ready to use sharp elbows to get the last one of needs be, but thankfully they restocked when I went back in. Someone could have got bruised ribs otherwise...
