Flipping Hermes!

I received a delivery today, inside a blue Hermes bag. Inside there is a parcel addressed to someone else from ASOS. Nothing in there that I have ordered at all. I cannot get in touch with Hermes and I'm not sure which of my deliveries that this has arrived in the place of to contact the sender. I have literally no idea what to do next... any ideas?

Contact ASOS, they sent the order so will be able to find out if someone has received your stuff.

I've been having issues with them too (they told me my parcels have been delivered, they had not, and mysteriously arrived two days later). I used the live chat function on their website, and provided my email and phone number, however as yet nobody has gotten back to me (I emailed on Friday last week). Might be worth a try anyway. Sorry I couldn't be more help!

They are ridiculously bad. I have no idea how they get away with it. I would never knowingly use them.

Ordered bits from Smiggle on 7th December, stuck somewhere with Hermes - unlikely to be here for Christmas. Ordered 2 soft toys from Hamleys 11th December. Received 1 yesterday, no sign of the other. Again Hermes. I didn't know either smiggle or hamleys used hermes and won't buy from them again as a result. Makes you want to just use amazon prime for every single thing!!

I've just complained about Hermes last week as they emailed to say they'd delivered my parcel at 12.40 pm last Tuesday. I was topping up the washer fluid on my car then and there was no sign of them. I finished cleaning the car and went back inside - stayed there for the rest of the day.

Mysteriously, when I went outside the next morning, a parcel had been left by my bin at the side of the house and was soaking wet and fell apart when i picked it up. No rain that day or night.

No card through the door.

Honestly. What would it have taken to knock on the door or push a note through.

Thankfully it was a set of christmas lights/garland so it didnt really matter.

@nicky7654 why are the police involved?

Paranoidmarvin · 22/12/2020 20:52

I know only buy from Amazon as their delivery is next day. And our driver is always with a smile. Other stuff we have bought before either never turned up or said delivered and it wasn’t.

nicky7654 · 23/12/2020 08:07

@PerfidiousAlbion Because the drivers are stealing parcels. They photograph it as delivered then take it. There have been so many complaints the Police have issued a number to call for them to investigate. Go on Hermes complaints via Facebook as there is hundreds of posts daily regarding this.

PerfidiousAlbion · 23/12/2020 11:38

@nicky7654 very interesting, as is the fact that they have so many names now which appear to be the same company to all intents and purposes. Makes it more difficult to investigate and prosecute I'd imagine. (Hermes, My Hermes etc..)

I must admit, I sometimes change my choice of seller if I see they use Hermes (or Yodel or CityLink).
