Can I return a Click & Collect item?

I’ve never done Click & Collect before but I have an order to pick up later. I have accidentally doubled up on an expensive bottle of rum - can I just not pick it up and get a refund?

You need to check the t&c from where ever you've ordered it from...eg where i work we keep parcels for 14 days then return to warehouse who will then refund once its been received (which could be another week)... however if you collect it and then ask me to return it you would get you refund straight away as i would process it for you immediately.

Thanks @Ilikewinter I should have said it’s a Morrison’s grocery order I’m picking up.

Phone the store and ask.
or
Tell them as soon as you get there, if you touch it or it touches your car then no return.
Should be possible.

Thanks MrsP. I’ve tried phoning but can’t get through - I expect they are a bit busy! I’ll tell them as soon as I get there.

At Tesco you can just hand it back when you collect

Thanks everyone - it was out of stock and there was no substitution so I ended up with no rum! 😅
