Lighthearted- Geography and Covid

Has anyone found themselves gaining a better understanding of UK geography due to all the talk of Tier restrictions in various parts of the country?

Disclaimer here.. I've only lived in my current area for a year. But I've seen to have learnt a lot about the location of various boundaries recently! And how wobbly the boundaries are. How the district I live in is bigger than the neighbouring county. Where various towns in my county I never had cause to visit are. How the motorway travels in and out of each county.

And how... It never really mattered. It might be your bin collection or library, but your day to day life wasn't really effected by the boundaries.

I used to live very close to a UN patrolled 'closed' border (usually that just meant picking up your visa at that particular border, but it was properly closed occasionally and you could get an impirt tax if they inspected your shopping). I was very aware of THAT border. But county borders in UK.. or between the nations... It's just something to spot with the kids on long drives.

Anyone else feel like this?
