Is anyone else watching via English Heritage on Facebook?

No, I’m sure it will be interesting though.

I’ve been watching the Newgrange live feed instead. Newgrange in Ireland is actually much older than Stonehenge.

We’ve got a line of 3 standing stones in the field next to us so I’m planning to walk up there tomorrow morning to watch the sunrise assuming it’s not pissing down. Grin

I watched the summer solstice... today I'm going out to try and see Saturn and Jupiter just after sunset 🌟

Thanks for the link.

This is the <a class="break-all" href="https://www.gov.ie/en/news/eea6b-winter-solstice-at-newgrange-2020/?referrer=www.gov.ie/newgrange/#" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Newgrange link if anyone is interested. They will stream for the next two mornings but this morning was a beautiful one.

I’d love links to any others

I've not heard of Newgrange before, @buggerationFlavouredCrisps. I'm keen to learn more, and will look it up.

I've been trying to locate Saturn and Jupiter for the last few evenings, but it's been too cloudy @niceupthedance. Hopefully it'll clear in time for the conjunction - I think its tomorrow just after sunset.

Newgrange is a Stone Age (Neolithic) monument in the Boyne Valley, County Meath, Ireland. Newgrange was constructed about 5,200 years ago (3,200 B.C.) which makes it older than Stonehenge and the Great Pyramids of Giza.

The winter solstice will be live-streamed from Newgrange on 20/21/22 December. Here is today’s live stream link. Must admit, it’s not as exciting just watching it on video. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@SkepticalCat I saw it, was pretty amazing. I doubt I will be outside tomorrow as torrential rain promised all day..
