I hope this isn't insensitive...I am very sorry for those whose plans have changed or are facing Christmas alone.

However I have a whole week off work with DC and despite the shit state of things in the outside world, excitement has kicked in.

We have been debating which tub of chocolates we get this week. Quality Street currently winning.

Anyone else feeling Christmassy?

We planned on a small Christmas and Dd1 was going to come Xmas Eve but that's obviously not allowed. So she and a flat work have decided to split shifts Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so the both get to see family.
So it's Christmas breakfast with her then lunch and presents.
Boxing Day regardless of the weather we are going for a walk with friends,
But I'm just glad DP has finished for Christmas and we are enjoying pottering and watching films 🎄

I am sooooooooo excited this year. I've spoilt the kids and I can't wait to see they're faces Xmas morning Xmas Grin
Tier4 here but I'm not bothered I'm a single parent of 5 (ages range from 4-18) so it's a busy household. I'm working for the next 4 days so doing my big food shop on Wednesday evening then once I'm home from work Xmas Eve the house will be in full swing. Takeaway and Xmas film before bath and bed for the little ones. Me and dd18 will have a few drinks while prepping the veg and getting all the presents out ready for the morning Xmas Grin

Cannot wait!! Merry Christmas op!

We moved house a month ago, and were due to spend xmas with my in laws but can't now due to being in Tier 4. It's a shame but actually we're both looking forward to spending it just the two if us in our new 'forever' home. We'll eat, drink, play games and watch crap tv. Just got to get through the next few days of work first...

I was excited but not now after yesterday's announcements, it's all gone flat, I've lost interest.

I hope all those posting manage to have a lovely Christmas. Sounds like some nice plans. I used to dream of a great big family Christmas but feel very lucky to have cheerful DC who think our small Christmas is perfect. To be honest just the time of work is bliss in itself!
