Help .. will major companies (like banking) still be hoping next week

I've got a really difficult, stressful situation that has just developed and need to contact some large professional companies on Monday (banking / legal / HR etc)

I've been trying to calmly work out exactly what I need to do but just suddenly panicked that they will have already stopped working on Friday for Christmas...

Will most big companies still be working on Monday.

Do you mean Monday 21st? Yes of course. Most companies shut late afternoon 24th and reopen 27th. Obviously that will be the 29th this year because Boxing Day is Saturday

Yes....banks will be operating just like they have all year

bank - definitely open. specialist departments might be on skeleton staff
legal - conveyancing forget it, but general offices should be open
hr - possibly on skeleton staff
