How to find a reputable breeder for Golden Retrievers

Thinking of getting a golden retriever puppy some time next year. How can we ensure we buy from a reputable breeder and not a puppy farm?

Go to the breed club for breeder information and litters planned/available.

The Kennel Club also have a puppy finder function on their website of registered breeders with litters.

Go via the breed club and avoid Internet selling sites such as Pets4Homes. Be prepared to be asked a lot of questions sbc to go on a waiting list and potentially wait quite some time for the right puppy from a good breeder. There's a lot of good information on the breed club website:
