Ridiculous things that have brought you to tears!

The other day I missed the turning to Sainsbury’s. The usual local one. I found myself lost behind Sainsbury’s but could still see it. I cried, out of nowhere.

I’ve also been known to cry when I can’t find my keys.

I’m usually a non crier!

I cry when I see a crocodile of reception children crossing the road in their little tabards and all the cars wait patiently. Bloody bawl my eyes out.

teaandcustardcreamsx · 19/12/2020 12:43

The book that’s not my unicorn Blush work in a nursery, one child wouldn’t stop crying unless I was reading that book. Therefore I read it at least 10 times in a row. I know it off by heart now. If I have to read it again I’m going to cry (I saw it in a shop and almost cried the other day)

I cried last night when I couldn't open the vacuum-sealed curry for dinner. Blush

Genuine, sincere kindness makes me sob and I don't mean kindness to me but to anyone. Mawkish kindness is very commonplace, the real thing;rare! Rare as hens teeth!

I got a bit teary watching The Mandalorian with DH last night! Never watched an episode in my life, but little Grogu got upset, and his big ears turned downwards and I felt so sad!! In my defence, it's been a stressful week.

Marching bands, every time , even unrehearsed local carnival-type drum and kazoo bands, I well up instantly but don't understand why. Xmas Blush

Mary Poppins. As soon as I see her I'm reminded she goes at the end and end up in floods of tears.

And airports. I've had so many goodbyes at airports. Even if I'm jetting somewhere nice I sob.

I can’t watch Cbeebies bedtime hours with my son. I always cry at the end, it makes me so emotional 😂

Cried in the car hearing the recording of the lady receiving the first COVID vaccine on the radio!

DH brought me back an unexpected treat from my favourite deli this morning. I cried. He was bemused. Poor chap.

Choirs. Choirs set me off. Gareth Malone, you have a lot to answer for. I'm not religious but little ones singing basically anything get me. First line of Little Donkey and I'm a blubbering mess.

SwankyPants · 19/12/2020 15:56

I burst into tears when I listened to Nelly Furtado sing I'm like A Bird.
It was the thought of a bird not having a home Blush

Getting a Christmas card from DH. I was told yesterday morning that I need to isolate, then DH brought me a beautiful card to cheer me up. I sobbed because I haven’t bought him one (was going to pick one up yesterday afternoon).
It’s fair to say that I’m a bit overwrought at the moment.

My (since wednesday) soon to be ex who performed a 15 minute sweary, screaming, eyeball popping rant at me that day, for having the audacity to comment on something as 'a bit of a faff'. I've only just stopped shaking and got my heart rate back to normal.
New year, new house (mine) new job methinks, because I'm done with his crap.

Most recently, I was watching a programme about the history of Europe, leading up to modern times. The EU flag was flying at the end. I am not usually someone who sets a lot of store by flags, certainly not any here, but at the sudden sight of that starry blue banner with no warning, and with all that we are losing, yep, welled up a bit.

Jesus. What an abusive bastard! Sounds threadworthy, if nothing else but for some support for you? Thanks

Olympians when the national anthem plays, regardless of the country
I get oddly emotional

SaxonWassail · 19/12/2020 17:49

My sister's brand new foster child who walked into her house, looked around and said; 'Do you think mummy will learn her lesson? '

SaxonWassail · 19/12/2020 17:54

steppemum · 19/12/2020 18:06

Oh I am a terrible cryer.

I once cried in a supermarket in Holland becuase I couldn't find the tinned tomatoes (it was culture shock)

I once cried in M&S because they had changed their knicker sizes. Used to do 14-16 which was me and I went in and they had 12-14 or 16-18 and one was too small and the other too big. (I may have been hormonal at the time)
