And if so, how have I never noticed?
I though perhaps it was "chicks will scream?"

No, the original is indeed cream. It was changed to "scream" for Grease Live apparently.

Grease is a weird one because there is a lot of adult content- e.g. Rizzo's song about having sex with guys if she has given them the impression she will, the possible pregnancy, the language in the songs..and yet people seem to think its a young kid's film!

I was a teenager when the film came out and would have thought that was the age group it was aimed at, not young children . And I love the film .... and yet, as an adult , I really don't like the message that it gives and would feel quite conflicted to watch with my own teenage daughter (if I had one, I don't )

I remember watching it as a child. And Dirty Dancing with the back alley abortion!!

Somehow everyone missed all of this in the film when it came out - some of the song lyrics are very questionable to say the least - did she put up a fight?!?
