And are salt and pepper chips worth getting?

Never had them before but I read a thread on here about someone ordering them.

It’s just me and the kids tonight and I was wondering if the kids will like them or just to get normal chips

They’re overpriced but lush.

£2.60 for what I presume is a small bag. Normal small bag is £1.90 so 70p more.

There so lovely and not super spicy or anything- but if I was sharing with my kids I would probably get plain to be honest!

Love them if they are done right. Some places just chuck on a few pepper and spring onions and charge an extra pound

They’re nice. But I’d probably get normal ones as well just incase the kids don’t like them, then there’s more for me! 🤣

It’s only me and the kids tonight (9&7) so we have chicken balls, chicken fried rice, normal chips and I got the salt and pepper chips!

I will get the salt and pepper chicken next time if I like the chips.

@FrangipaniBlue - never had the seaweed? I just think if the stuff in the sea. I will get some to try next time!

Seaweed is likely to be deep bage but still quite nice

I just googled salt and pepper chicken from a chinese and that looks good! Think il get that next time aslong as I like the chips.

Iv decided every time I have a chinese I will order one new thing to try.

I would get the plain chips and just add salt and pepper to yours.

Seaweed is fried cabbage I think. I love it with sweet and sour sauce on it.

It's not just salt and pepper it's onion peppers chillis and special salt and pepper seasoning.

They are lush.

Salt and pepper chips are the absolute shit! They're my favourite thing and a staple for us when ordering a Chinese takeaway.
They're also relatively easy to make at home.

Seaweed is good, salty and sweet (it’s cabbage 🤣). I replicate it at home.
Salt and pepper chips are amazing if done right, however one Chinese delivered me chips with literal salt and pepper (seasoning) on , they were vile as I hate pepper.

Home bargains do a great Chinese salt and pepper mix for when you make them at home... it’s amazing!

They are amazing, pinch of nom have a slightly faffy but delicious salt and pepper chip recipe for "low fat" days but takeaway ones are the best

No idea if that’s what they normally look like. They taste pretty good. I’d get them again and my son loves them.
