Have you ever had a midlife crisis ?

As I feel like I’m about to go a bit wild or something

I’m 42 and am definitely feeling I've had something like a midlife crisis recently. Combination of dc bring older and less dependent on me and me finally getting my anxiety under control made me think “hang on, what’s MY life about now?”

I don’t want to go into details but I have narrowly avoided disaster and wish I could go back 6mths in time and undo some of the things I did.

Such a weird feeling isn’t it, I wonder if it’s hormonal
I’ve always been very sensible, perhaps too sensible
But I just feel like I’m going to do something I wouldn’t normally do

I think for me it was a combination of things. Dc as I mentioned, hormones, boredom from being furloughed, this year in general, dh being stressed and not himself. Etc.

And yes it was a very strange place to be. I’m over it for now and it’s made me look at my life differently as I could have so easily fucked it all up. And like you I am very sensible and “normal”.

I was 40 when I started getting tattoos and now I'm going to get my nose pierced.

These are the things I didn't have the courage to do when I was 19

I'm 48, I definitely had one a few years ago, probably triggered by best friend dying, left my husband and went a bit wild, I've calmed down again now

Where’s you guys sensible from a. Young age
I had a morgage at 22, which has put us in a great place now
But looking back it was quite young certainly by today’s standards

And I've grown my hair to rock chick length and constantly want sex with unsuitable people
