Posted by a friend - just why would you buy it as a reminder of all the things we weren't allowed to do this year 😂

I know ... why on EARTH would you want the reminder

Tearsfortiers · 18/12/2020 13:38

I quite like that as a historical reminder. I wouldn't put it on the tree this year but would once 2020 is a distant memory.

Sweettea1 · 18/12/2020 13:51

I would display it but keep it in the boxes with the baubles then every year when you see it it will bring bk memories of this year hopefully the nice memories an not just how shite the year has been.

Tacky

RaraRachael · 18/12/2020 14:05

A local woman has been making baubles with -
The Rachael Family
Lockdown Christmas 2020, on them. Why on earth anyone would want reminding of this shitty year is beyond me, yet people are buying them Hmm

tinselfest · 18/12/2020 14:12

Oh my, that's both dull and grim isn't it?

ritzbiscuits · 18/12/2020 14:12

Yes I've seen one with Santa wearing a face mask! Yuck!

andawaywego · 18/12/2020 14:21

I never understood this recent trend of having products with 'Xmas at the Jones 2020' or whatever on them. Would you want stuff with a random year like 2013 on it hanging around the house? Probably not, so it's just going to end up in landfill so much quicker.

Although, if we are talking about the tackiest decorations, can I please point out that this epic item from a thread last year is still for sale? I recently found it while combing through my watch list and it's as amazing as I remember: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12-DAYS-OF-CHRISTMAS-MASSIVE-TABLE-CENTER-PIECE-DECORATION-ALL-DAYS-FIGURES/401730194746?hash=item5d88fc4d3a:g:UUwAAOSwosFUVmhG

FleeceNavidadToEwe · 18/12/2020 14:30

Wow! That's a corker.

I was going to add to my Swarovski star collection this year but really don't want 2020 on anything.

MrsJBradders · 18/12/2020 14:51

@andawaywego

My children choose a new Christmas bauble get year and of my DD has chosen an angel with rainbow on it, she is 4 and obsessed with rainbows, but I thought it was a tasteful nod to this year’s events.

MrsTerryPratchett · 18/12/2020 14:55

We're living through HISTORY right now. I mean we always are but we really are at the moment. Our grandchildren will learn about this in school so actually why not have something like that?

tectonicplates · 18/12/2020 15:03

@Needhelpwithaquestion Yeah that centrepiece thing has been for sale for years! Maybe he should lower the price to about £7.

nosswith · 18/12/2020 15:04

Probably it is.
