If I wanted to give the bin men a christmas present tomorrow how is best to do it...? I have the option of giving them a case of carling, or £10. But i have no cards to put the £10 in ...

Bin men come really early in the morning, and i dont imagine leaving the beers out overnight will be ok, do i just need to get up early and wait for them? Also if i gave them beers would they even be allowed to take them? Not sure what is best!

Where I live the bin men are not allowed to have any alcohol on their vehicle. You could just get up early, or go out very late and tape a gift to the top of the hin. My bin men get boxes of goodies.

Put the £10 in an envelope, clearly marked Happy Christmas! If you don’t have an envelope make one from paper. It doesn’t have to be perfect.

Ah ok yes i was worried that there would be some rule about not taking alcohol and that it would just get awkward, with them having to refuse it.

I think i have some envelopes somewhere so I'll just give them the £10 then!

Sooo the time our bin men come varies but can be as early as 6, so i set an alarm, got up early and waited. And waited. And waited. Theyve just shown up now 😂 but the guy seemed very chuffed to get the envelope, gave it to the guy driving who then drove forward a bit so he could wave thank you, and then when they enptied our bin, they took it back round to the side of the house for us!
