How do I open this bottle!

I bought this quite expensive hair treatment but cannot get the pump action thing to lift so it works. I’m never very good at them. Am I missing something? It’s so thick I can’t pour it so using it is messy and gloopy. I just want it to work the way it’s meant to do!

What’s the trick?

It turns and turns but nothing happens. I can’t force it up.

Is there an arrow on the top to show you to twist it first?

Sometimes they just don’t work, I find.

Have you pushed down on it whilst turning ?

Twist the nossle 90 degrees it might pop up and then you can press to pump.

Have you tried turning and pulling at the same time? Try both directions maybe?

Unscrew the whole top and then screw it back on again

Do you have a small child in the house?

Otherwise - push down and twist (try one way then another). Failing that, take the whole damn top off.

And if it’s very gloopy then just give it a very good, long shake and that will loosen it up.

Yes, push down and twist until it pops up. This usually works. But I’m useless at these things too. The ‘Small child’ comment is classic. That’s exactly what you need. I often try tops before I buy, because sick of forcing childproof tops off with a screwdriver. 😂

Unscrew it and rescrew it. Press down while twisting.
