Where do I find a seamstress?

The bridal shop can deliver the dress in time but won't do any alterations. I'm a bit iffy about it as I don't know any! And I'd need to confirm I want the dress by Monday. Way too stressful . I'm thinking of trying to find a different dress.

Whereabouts are you in the country? I could recommend a couple but no good if hundreds of miles away from you.

Join sewingintheuk FB group and ask on there. They also have county groups but not sure if there is one for Cornwall.

You could try asking on a wedding forum, Hitched is a good one and there are bound to be other Cornish brides who can advise on there.

Could the bridal shop not recommend somewhere? It's pretty standard for wedding dresses to meed alterations. Otherwise ask around and have a Google.

Ask on your local FB group. Its something that comes up fairly frequently on ours, and a number of recommendations are made and we aren't in a large town or city

A local dry cleaners might have a tailor/seamstress attached. I would ring your nearest one.
