TW periods after ectopic

I know there is a separate health chat room but since ectopic pregnancies are a fairly common experience I hoped to hit a wider audience here. I had an ectopic concluded with medication but no surgery in February. My periods have been all over the place since. Sometimes bleeding lasting 12 or 14 days, sometimes a 14-day or 21-day cycle. Sometimes a more normal 7 day bleed or roundabout 28-day cycle. So we are looking at about 10-months of mess. Did it take anyone as long as this to settle down again after their ectopic pregamcy? I am in my mid-40s so I have wondered if the ectopic triggered an early or peri menopause and the irregularity is because of that? Is it worth waiting it out for a bit longer? I'm not intending now to have another child, so do not care about the impact of irregular periods on fertility as such. TIA

Hi This way. Very sorry to hear of your ectopic. I had one but normal cycles after that. I was in my 30s though. An ectopic once resolved shouldn't have any effects on your periods so I'd imagine it has just coincided with perimenopause. Have you seen a doctor ?

moany thanks for replying. No not yet. It has not been top of my list and they did say it may take a few months so I've let it slide. I didn't not want to bother the GP at this time with something not-urgent and was normal. Google has been unhelpful because it only answers questions about the first period after or if you want to conceive again. 🙈
