What's for tea tonight?

Yes, I know it's hours until tea time! But still, I'm vaguely thinking about what to make now.

I think we're having something chickeny, but not sure what yet.

Rib-eye steak, beer battered chips, mushrooms and diane sauce.

Beecham · 17/12/2020 09:24

Homemade chicken curry, rice and broccoli

WishingHopingThinkingPraying · 17/12/2020 09:30

Homemade soup and homemade bread. I never look forward to it as much as some of my more interesting meals but when I eat it, it's always very fulfilling (and healthy).

Quornflakegirl · 17/12/2020 09:33

Cheese burgers and sweet potato fries.

lastqueenofscotland · 17/12/2020 09:39

Thursday I always get back super later so will be toast or similar!
Have a beetroot risotto I made yesterday for lunch though

LarsErickssong · 17/12/2020 09:42

Tuna pasta bake

LadyLazaruss · 17/12/2020 09:43

Cottage pie. Don't really fancy it anymore tbh, and am more looking forward to tomorrow nights dinner - homemade pizza!

Chewbecca · 17/12/2020 09:44

I’ve got the day off so more time than usual and am planning to try the beef cobbler from MN.

Chilli and jacket potatoes

Littlemissnutcracker · 17/12/2020 09:48

Made a chill last night. Enough for two nights. So that will be that Smile

BenidormLife · 17/12/2020 09:49

Glad I found this. I'm off work today and told DH that I would make something really nice for tea and I was just thinking what can I make....

lucysmam · 17/12/2020 09:56

Dd2 decided on the way to school; we're having pork loin steaks with garlic & parmesan roasted potatoes, and probably some salad on the side.

Chicken will wait for tomorrow night.

lastqueenofscotland beetroot risotto sounds interesting. Is it sweet? I'm trying to imagine what it tastes like but think I may be basing that on the pickled stuff!

It's the middle of the night where I am (Texas) so "tea" is pretty far away from me time-wise right now.

I need to go grocery shopping later today so thinking about food isn't always far away. I think I'll make either a chickpea coconut curry with a side of rice or baked falafels in a pita with salad and tzatziki sauce. Either way, there will be wine...

lucysmam · 17/12/2020 10:09

That sounds tasty elp30. I think I might have a glass of wine tonight too!

Chicken tikka masala, garlic nan and an onion, yoghurt and mint chutney.

Peanutbutterblood · 17/12/2020 12:05

I want to do a roast beef dinner, but I've got some bacon which is four days out of date. Still looks and smells fine but I figure I should eat it soon so I think I'll make a bacon and chicken risotto

Superstardjs · 17/12/2020 12:08

It was due to be Chinese in our favourite restaurant but that got cancelled, cheers Tier 3. So possibly wine and sulking, unless I can summon up enthusiasm for a plan B.

bearlyactive · 17/12/2020 12:12

We were meant to be going out too but I've tested positive so that's off the cards. Sounds like sausage and pasta bake (can't wait, not)!

Snuzzle · 17/12/2020 12:34

Homemade sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice
DD doesn’t like it so we can only have it when she’s had a hot meal at school and won’t want much for tea

TheBestSpoon · 17/12/2020 12:46

It's DS's birthday, so homemade pizza for us. Probably with a glass of wine for me and DH to celebrate successfully keeping him alive for another year! Grin

Ladybird345 · 17/12/2020 12:47

Chicken curry for us

FestiveDigestives · 17/12/2020 12:51

Indian takeaway 😋

JazzyGeoff · 17/12/2020 12:56

Lamb tagine

DanaScully53 · 17/12/2020 13:01

Home made doner kebab with all the salad. Might throw a few fries in too. Hot chilli for me, garlic mayo for DP. Just off to season the meat now.

x2boys · 17/12/2020 13:03

I need to do a big shop tommorow ,so I'm going to nip to the butcher's across the road and get some lamb mince and make shepherds pie.
