And you just miss it because it was so good. And you just want to talk about it but no one wants to talk to you about it.
Which books have been like that for you?

I just finished The Night Tiger by Yangsze Choo yesterday, and am bereft this evening!

Never let me go was like that for me

Me too - I was bereft when I finished that - I’ve never reacted to a book in that way before or since!

I absolutely love Elin Hildebrand books too and never want them to end - The Matchmaker and Beautiful Day especially - they are really brilliantly written summer novels set on Nantucket Island and I love her descriptions of it. I highly recommend if you want some escapism!

@RosieLemonade

It was song of Achilles. I read it over two nights staying up till 1am on the second night (I usually got to bed at 9 and asleep by 10). I’m reading The Silence Of The Girls now but their Achilles and Patroclus is different to the one in Song of... and I’m missing MY Achilles and Patroclus.

When I read the Flatshare I totally fell in love with Leon. When I finished I couldn’t get over that I had read all that existed of him if you get what I mean.

I loved the Silence of the Girls. Read it in two afternoons sat in the garden. I can't remember the last time I did that, and haven't done it since. I have The Flatshare on my reading list. I will get that book, one day.
