Everything is making my stomach turn right now!

I have been so queasy for the past few days. Everything is making me feel sick. Really weird things too.

This morning when I was walking the dog the sound of the mud squelching with every step I took was making me retch. I was walking along retching in to my scarf hoping that I wouldn't run in to anyone and that I'd find a path!

The way my husband's coat smelt when he got home. Bit damp from the drizzle and it had that outside smell. Wouldn't even think twice about it normally but even remembering it is making me gag.

Drinking a can of cherry pepsi that had gone slightly flat made me actually vomit.

I rolled my sleeves up earlier and the way it felt on my arms made me retch and my stomach was heaving until I rolled them down again.

The smell of bacon cooking. Normally I love it!

Even writing all these down is making my stomach churn.

What the hell is going on?

Are you pregnant

Sick · 16/12/2020 17:22

Sorry, this was meant to go in the health section!

Livedandlearned · 16/12/2020 17:25

Covid has weird effects like this too

Really? I honestly didn't know that. I don't have any other symptoms though (yet?).

Pregnancy is more of a smells thing but this seems to be an overall sensory issue for you.

Yeah, that's why it's so weird! It just came on all of a sudden. I'm not usually a squicky person.

I'm making a chicken pie for dinner, was really looking forward to it, it smells great, but I've just gone and checked it and now the thought of eating it is making me feel so sick.

Op, I’ve had very similar symptoms. Everything tastes and smells a bit horrible. Also extra sensitive to sound and texture and none of it is good or pleasant.... ugh....

I had wondered if it was some kind of mild version of Covid as well. I just feel horrible!

Wildernesstips · 16/12/2020 18:49

I have had a really weird taste/smell thing this week which has made me feel queasy. Tested negative for COVID. It is just starting to get better and it’s been 10 days.

Waitingfirgodot · 16/12/2020 20:04

I feel like this - I'm putting it down to Covid. I had a positive test about a month ago but am still not back to normal.

Sick · 16/12/2020 21:49

Oh god, I really never had considered it could be a covid symptom! I feel absolutely fine otherwise. Covid is much more likely than pregnancy though.

Sorry to hear you are all dealing with the same thing!

sun & wilderness do you have any other symptoms or just the odd sensory issues?
Hope you are back to normal soon waiting

Sick, no other symptoms for me, apart from the fact that I am very slightly more tired (actually fell asleep on the sofa). But then mine isn’t Covid unless my negative result was false.
