I have a University Interview in an Hour!

I am so nervous! It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to become a midwife but I’ve never had the opportunity. This year I have made it my mission. I applied to two Universities not expecting much the first time round but I’ve got interviews for both. My interview today is for my second choice Uni so I’m thinking of it as a practice run.
I’ve prepped so much my head is bursting.
Argh! I just want it to be over

Breath deeply.

Drop your shoulders.

Unclench.

Repeat.

Force yourself to smile.

Don't' worry about taking a minute to think before you answer their questions and also feel comfortable asking them to repeat anything you don't understand.

Feel free to convey to them how enthusiastic you are and how much you want this opportunity. They will appreciate this.

You will smash it I'm sure, GOOD LUCK!!!

If it's via video call make sure you have a glass of water to hand (in case you need it or if you need a couple of extra seconds to think of an answer)

Thank you all. I think it went well. I answered everything and got lots of smiles and “good answer” “excellent point” etc from the interviewers. Non of the questions caught me out so I’m happy I did my best.
Now the wait for an answer begins!

Well I got a place! It’s my second choice Uni so my first choice interview is end of January. My third choice offered me an interview today too. It’s quite over whelming!

They were very generic and any YouTube video will help. The main ones are

what is the role of a midwife?
Why do you want to be a midwife?
What do you understand about the course?
Talk to us about a current issue in midwifery

And then numerous scenario questions
