Moving house packing service - wobbling - help!

Ahgghh.
We move on Friday. We paid a considerable amount for a full packing service and they are coming in to start packing tomorrow.
BUT I am second guessing myself all the time. I have packed a case with knickers etc., know all about wardrobes, freezers, the big stuff.
but do I really just let them pack everything?
Tins and jars in the larder? utensils in kitchen drawers - tin foil, crap like that?????

I am itching to do it all now:(

Have you done it recently? What is the form? And tipping?? Did you tip? How much?
I am more stressed about the removal company than I was about selling and buying Confused

Heeeeeeelp

Just wanted to Bob in and let you know we are moved, have just finished fish and chips and are a bottle of wine down.
Absolutely knackered, but the movers were absolutely fab.
They packed everything they could yesterday, leaving us with 2 armchairs, a TV, a bed, fridge and kettle. Bluntness was not joking - they packed a loaf of bread with 2 slices left and carefully packaged a lone mince pieGrin
They have cheerfully jumped things from room to room for us today and even took away boxes and packaging I had managed to empty.
Worth every pennyWink

Downsizing is a nightmare, but having a great removals team is fab!

They’re like packing locusts - and so quick! Last time we moved, I popped out to do the school run and when I came back all food was packed, not a single snack for the kids to eat!

Do make sure you have everything you will want to travel with you put aside before the packing starts. My removal men started with my bedroom so my underwear etc. that I wanted as an emergency overnight bag was gone before I realised. I had to ask for it back.
Obviously also you need important papers, cleaning stuff and kettle, mugs etc. I bought a couple of boxes of biscuits for the men to share as well.
