I find it sad that they would rather have children in long term foster care, moved from home to home or be in a care home, rather than in a loving family even if the parents are gay.

It is sad, but it's not particularly surprising for Hungary.

The lurch to the right in certain parts of Europe over the past view years is worrying. Although Orban has always been scum.

Well, but then we've lurched to the right too.

So sad that they have done this but not surprised. The government in Hungary have gone quite far to the right and have been restricting freedoms for a while now. Look at what has happened to Central European University.

This particular ruling will be very personal to many people taking away their chance of a family.

It's sad and reactionary. It smacks of a country that feel insecure and is desperate to control everything.

Hungary has been on my no travel list for a while.

We were talking about the growth of the right wint at rugby on Tuesday night, it really is worrying when you look at the individual things happening right now. We have this, lgbt free zones in Poland, Proud Boys (of the irony of choosing that name), further abortion restrictions in Poland. Trump was pushing to allow adoption agencies in the US to refuse gay couples.

The issue with policies like these is they are designed to please a small minority of vocal idiots, they are not made in the interests of looked after children. As usual the most vulnerable in society are at the bottom of the pile.
