He's 19yo and has isolated for all but 1 day if the last 4 weeks.

Normally, he works shifts, usually getting home at 2am, so his body clock is a bit weird, he generally goes to bed at c.4am, often goes to the gym after work.

So, he's kept the same hours while he's been at home. I've woken up this morning to the evidence that he made a cake last night and a text saying he got bored and he'll clear up when he gets up, he didn't want to make a noise last night while we were sleeping.

I can't find the cake though, surely he hasn't eaten a whole loaf tin sized cake? Grin

He’s 19 Grin you know he could, I once made scones after a night out, they didn’t last long.

TodgerStrunk · 16/12/2020 07:17

It'll be wherever I've put the Christmas cake I made in October Hmm

CodenameVillanelle · 16/12/2020 07:18

He took it to bed with him of course!

I want to know where the cake is? I hopes it’s not in his belly and you can have some 🍰 🤤

Have you checked the cat proof box microwave?

Palavah · 16/12/2020 09:22

Did he have post-weed munchies?

WitchFindersAreEverywhere · 16/12/2020 09:25

@Palavah

Did he have post-weed munchies?
Do you have a 19 year old son?

Mine regularly cooks in the early hours, and is very capable of eating an entire cake on his own, No drugs, doesn’t drink....can eat for England.

Alexandernevermind · 16/12/2020 09:26

Ha ha, of course he ate it all. He's a teen, mine certainly would!

Palavah · 16/12/2020 09:28

@witchfindersareeverywhere no I dont, and I wasn't implying a criticism.

Sherin19 · 16/12/2020 09:28

Is it in the microwave? My ex once put a Sunday lunch in the microwave, I didn’t find out until a week later, it was disgusting

MrsMigginsMate · 16/12/2020 09:29

Are you sure it's not the midnight munchies from smoking something funky? Grin

IdblowJonSnow · 16/12/2020 09:30

Ha ha! That's funny. My fave thread this morning!

I bet he's scoffed the lot!

Tonightstheteriyakichicken · 16/12/2020 09:58

Not much fun. Hope he enjoyed his cake!
🤔
Definitely used a loaf tin, or was it a microwave cake in a mug?

SnowySheep · 16/12/2020 10:36

Definitely a used loaf tin waiting for him to wash it up in the "morning"

Easy enough done at that age

DrDavidBanner · 16/12/2020 10:45

Since lockdown my 20yo is almost entirely nocturnal he regularly goes to the 24hr gym and cooks meals in the middle of the night.

My guess is its in his room or in his belly 😂

letsnotscaretheneighbours · 16/12/2020 10:48

@Palavah 🤣 that would potentially be my 19 year old son but I do agree that boys seem to have hollow legs, especially when gyming it.

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 16/12/2020 10:49

Is it in the oven? I had a flat mate once that stored cakes in the oven because it was air tight and supposedly stopped them going bad.

Lalanbaba · 16/12/2020 10:59

Either he ate it or is in his bedroom half eaten.

doctorhamster · 16/12/2020 11:06

19? He ate it.

My teen night time baker hides her goodies in the microwave or on top of the fridge.

I like waking up to cake. The washing up not so much...
