Where's my post?

I have sent my friend a gift from Glasgow to London via Royal Mail track 24...I sent it on Friday and the tracking still says it's in Glasgow! What's going on...is it lost?! Can't get through to anyone to speak about it and getting concerned that it's never going to get there...anyone know what to do?!

All delivery services are suffering at the moment. The volume of mail is much higher than usual due to staff shortages because of covid, people buying more online due to covid, and sending more presents or cards because they won’t be seeing family. The Black Friday/cyber Monday sales didn’t help, and Royal Mail is struggling to cope.

There have been loads of articles in the news about it, and I know parts of a Scotland are being affected even worse than other bits of the UK. www.bbc.com/news/business-55263177

I don’t work for the Royal Mail. I’ve got an Etsy shop and unfortunately ‘where’s my order?’ messages are frequent. Tracked delivery doesn’t seem to mean a lot at the moment
