Superglued finger

so to give a bit of background, I was trying to patch a small hole in part of my hamster's tank and I thought it would be a good idea to stick on old credit card over the hole using superglue. Well, needless to say the glue didn't stick it to the glass but did stick it to my finger. It is completely bonded and it hurts if I pull it. I have tried washing up liquid and warm water, cooking oil, white spirit, methylated spirit and alcohol but nothing has even started to budge it. Any ideas or am I stuck like this for the foreseeable? HELP!!

Nail varnish remover with acetone. And leave soak.

Nail varnish remover.

You can buy small bottles of acetone from the chemist. Wont have any colouring or whatever else they add to nail polish remover. It'll get it off.

Can I just ask though... do hamsters live in tanks? I thought they had cages! Now that I'm thinking about it, not really sure what difference it would make.

Blatantly here to see what you do, nothing of help to add OP as I have an irrational fear of superglue and glueing my eyes shut or something equally unlikely and awful. It's literally the stuff of my nightmares Confused

Hope you get it sorted.

And you should be able to pick up a 2 part epoxy glue in your supermarket if it's a big one. Just make sure the epoxy says glass.

Thanks everyone, just soaking it and it seems to be working.

It's a giant Ikea Detolf tank that I separated into 2 sections using mdf and glass but they have bitten a tiny hole in the MDF big enough to fit through. This was just an emergency measure for tonight but didn't go to plan!
