Doc reckons I have a gallstone blocking my bile duct.

What are the chances that I'm going to have to have surgery PDQ?

I had a deranged liver listed on my notes when I had an infected gallbladder. 4 days in hospital on iv antibiotics and returned 2 weeks later for removal. It became underanged surprisingly quickly after the surgery.

Must be the way docs describe the situation!

I'm sorry you are suffering. Are you in a lot of pain? I think you may be facing surgery fairly fast I'm afraid. I was hospitalised last year with an infection of the gallbladder due to blockage which isn't as urgent as blockage of the bile duct. I got away with days of intravenous antibiotics and painkillers and imminent surgery has been delayed due to covid. While investigating, they did an mri to check for bile duct blockage as this is a more urgent condition. Wishing you a very speedy recovery.

Oh bugger. And here i was hoping it would just sort itself out.

I was in pain for about 12 hours yesterday. Its subsided today thank god but my pee looks like Irn Bru, so that can't be good.

This is about the 6th such episode in 6 months although its only ever lasted a couple of hours before yesterday.

What an absolute bitch 2020 has been Sad

I'm properly stressing about this now!

Does anyone have any positive experiences of a deranged liver!? Confused

That's a weird sentence, isn't it?

Bumping for the evening crowd.

My online medical notes say that I've been advised on a possible 'stone in cbd'. The doctor had such a thick accent that it was really hard to understand what he was saying, but im guessing cbd is my bile duct? He's supposed to be calling me again this evening to advise.

What's going to become of meeeeeeee?

Following because I'm in the same boat. Sorry, I have no advise! My bilirubin levels are really high as is ALT level. Is that the same for you?
