What is going on with the Body Shop?

I ordered 25th November and haven't yet received a dispatch confirmation email. A quick google reveals soooo many bad trustpilot reviews, and twitter is full of people saying their order has arrived incorrect / damaged.

Should I accept that I need to buy new Christmas presents for the people I ordered gifts from the Body Shop for? (Will obviously take the matter of the delayed order up with Body Shop separately)

I ordered stuff from the Body Shop last weekend and it came during the week. I got a dispatch confirmation e mail and e mails form the delivery company. It was great service.

Oh dear, maybe it's just me then!

I'll follow up with the Body Shop and source new presents in the meantime

I had this exact problem a few weeks back with Holland & Barratt, and I saw a similar thread about Boots, all the same issues. I think there are just major supply chain issues with the current problems at the ports. I eventually got my Holland & Barratt order but I had to tweet / facebook / email them several times to get a resolution - and there was still an item missing in the end. They blamed the courier, even though my order status never changed to say it was ever despatched. Get tweeting them and see if they can sort it.

I'm having similar issues with Hobbycraft. I had to set up a Twitter account as they wouldn't reply to emails and messenger etc.

Finally had half my order this morning but still no idea when to expect the rest.

I appreciate that they are the busiest they've probably ever been delivery wise but it's the complete lack of information that's pissed me off. All I want to know is if the order I placed at the end of October will arrive for Christmas!

To be honest it just sounds like your order didn't go through.

I'm sure customer services can sort it.

Oh, and don't get me started on Boots! They cancelled an order I placed and four weeks later I'm still waiting for a refund. Again, I cannot get anyone to acknowledge me, let alone tell me when I'm getting my money back.

Update - my parcel has arrived, although I have been refunded for one item as it has gone out of stock. I never did get a dispatch email, so it looks as though Body Shop are struggling a little with the pressures of this time of year

My DCs school has a whole pyramid of body shop at home mums so I usually go through them and get things really quickly.
