How quickly can a child gain half a stone?

If a child is 4 stone 3lbs how quickly do you think they would put on 7lbs?

DD aged 6 desperately wants a really expensive ride on toy, I can afford it but she’s only 7lbs off the recommended max weight.

I’m torn between getting it because she’s my youngest and there isn’t a lot of time left for real “memory” toys and this year has been shit. But don’t want a total waste of money if she’s out of it within a tiny timeframe!

Any ideas how fast they grow? Confused

Not in time for Christmas! I guess it’s a hoverboard and they don’t work properly at all if you’re not the right weight. They show violently and it’s not a nice experience!

Haha I mean she’s hitting the crisps hard but hopefully not before Christmas!

No it’s an electric ride on princess carriage thing. Hate hoverboards!

It won't be a hoverboard if she's nearly too heavy for whatever it is

Is she not already too tall for the legs to ground part?
My DD has a bike but wants a glittery rainbow bike. We are getting her lots of bling for her bike. Can you do something like that?

Gigheimer · 13/12/2020 10:35

Hmmmm true I hadn’t thought about height! Did consider bike but the others need those too and it would end up in problems Xmas morning! Was going to wait until spring and get all 4 (3 kids and I need one to keep up!).

Have a look in your red book if you’re in the U.K. - that should give you a tailor-made answer!

My 9 year old is still in the correct weight bracket for the toy, so depending on how it has been designed, it could be ok.
