I want to buy some seeds (herb or veg or chilli or similar) as part of a secret santa gift for Christmas for someone in Australia. Obviously need to buy from Aus. Where's the best place to buy online?

This is a very well known Australian brand:
shop.yates.com.au/

There are also specialist clubs if you want heritage or special seeds but Yates has a good variety for all sorts of flowers, fruit and vegetables.

One more thing, the recipient is in Melbourne, some of the packets say planting mid spring to mid summer. What's that date wise?

That’s from about September until December/Jan, so would be fine now.

Bunnings Warehouse also has seeds.

Spring in Australia is 1 September to 30 November.
Summer is 1 December to 28 February.

It’s already so hot here!

Great, thanks. It's hard to translate my knowledge of when to sow things to Australian seasons and climate
