Flop and Amma

Is it just me or does anyone else think Flop and Amma are a thing? When Bing sleeps over at Sula's, amma is mighty quick to agree to Flop "sleeping over". And Flop was very presumptuous to have his bedding already packed? I dunno, they seem very coupley together having their cosy cuppa's whilst the kids play. Thoughts please?

Definitely. But Padget is jealous of their relationship. She was very quick to suggest a sleepover when Pando fell asleep in Bing's bed after the day at the beach.

It’s a shame Mark Rylance no longer does the voice for Flop (in the newer ones).

Bing is the absolute worst. Whatever Flop needs to do to get by.

The one where flop is ill and bing insists on reading him a story, shouts at flop to wake him up and then insists on making him a drink and drops the tray everywhere just shows flops restraint. How he doesn't just let a "FFS Bing!" out is beyond me.

I quite like the theory that Flop and Amma are figments of the toddlers’ collective imagination after some sort of accident or event that took everyone’s parents away, but it doesn’t fit with this idea, and I prefer this!

100%. And totally agree with Padget being jealous. Dr Molly doesn't give a shit, she's just grateful for all the childcare.

They need to start correcting Flop when he says words wrong or he (nor my kids) will ever learn

@ChristmasTreeOhChristmasTreeOh Flop seems to have rabbit ears. Amma has elephant ears, the green one has panda ears, they all look vaguely like the giant baby animal that they care for. There’s something going on there.

Do they have any genitals? Maybe they just 'cuddle'. I had a lie in this morning so thankfully DH had to suffer through Bing this morning.

I love Amma. Especially in the Hide & Seek episode when Bing wets himself and she says "oh you tried to hold it in and you couldn't" in such a sarcastic voice.

My DS1 used to love Bing and every time I read him that story I would read that line in the same voice as TV Amma (not the accent, just the intonation and tone).

Amma has the best phrases and one liners. You noisy bangers 👌
