Rule of 6 Tier 1, what happens of a household is already made up of 6 people?

There's six of us. SIL said she'd like to have a coffee (to my DP but at the time of the phone call assumed all of us). I'm guessing we can't meet? This has always been very unclear to me

Fortunately its super clear. You are already a household of 6 so no one can come to your home as that would push you over the numbers (households can mix inside in tier 1 if less than 6 people). But DH can go and meet SIL for a coffee somewhere else. Again that can only be up to 6 people so you can't all go because that's 7 people with SIL.

Apparently there's exemptions if your win a support bubble, but we're not. There's 4 of them so o don't know of he'll go with the baby and leave the other kids at home.

How old is your baby?
If under 1 on the 2nd of December you are allowed to form a support bubble.

Otherwise, I'd get DH to meet her and just bring one child.
