Gall bladder treat food

What is the nicest best treat foods for someone who has had their gall bladder removed? I'm doing a hamper for a friend but I know they avoid cheese, chocolate etc and don't want to give food they can't eat.
I know you knowledgeable folk will help me!
Thanks

When it's removed you don't have to avoid anything. Probably give them what they missed out on before they had it out. I've had mine out so can speak from experience

Thank you for that. I was sure she was still avoiding certain foods, but very happy to wrong! A chocolate filled hamper it is, yum.

Some people have bowel problems after losing their gallbladder, because of the constant release of bile into the gut. Chocolate is a laxative so a hamper of that may not be the best.

I can't eat normally, haven't been able to since a year before my operation and I had my gallbladder out 10 years ago so not everyone will be able to go back to normal foods unfortunately Sad

So she may well be avoiding certain foods. It's quite individual which foods cause problems for people and which are safe.

I had mine removed years ago and have been fine to eat anything. I was advised at the time I may have to completely avoid saturated fat foods but was lucky enough to never have had any problems... 😀

Ummmm, in that case what yummy food has no/low saturated fat??

Marshmallows have zero fat (I know because I lived on them while I was waiting for my gallbladder removal). I was able to eat normally straight away though. The only thing that I've had to avoid long term apart from the odd treat is deep fried stuff.

Marshmallows sound good to add, thank you.
