Temporary minimalism - moving to a smaller rented house for a few months and need tips and encouragement

I’ve been decluttering for the last few years and I really thought I had sorted myself out. But now we have to move out while work is done on our house and I’m finding it much harder than I should to get my head around it.
The rented house has no storage and is much smaller than our own. And even if it were twice the size I wouldn’t want to take on the workload of packing stuff we don’t need only to haul it back again.

So I need to work out the bare minimum that I need and just bring those things but I’m getting kind of paralysed.

We’re not moving out for 6 weeks yet but when we do there’s only a short time to get it all sorted so I need to get my head straight about what I’m actually bringing so I’m not wasting time making decisions instead of just packing.

I just don’t know where to start figuring out what is actually necessary.
