Had a free trial and now find myself paying for it. I don’t mind so much, as I’ve exhausted my favourite podcasts and I like to listen to something as I fall asleep.

However, I seem to have accumulated quite a few credits but can’t find out how to spend the damn things!!! Why doesn’t the audible app let you use your credits? How do I spend them?

Also - any recommendations gratefully received! I tend to like autobiographies and fairly gentle thrillers / fiction - enough of a story but not so intense I don’t drop off!!

If you go to the audible website you should be able to use your credits there. The app on my android phone I can as well, but on my iPad it is a nightmare. I do not understand why they have such a shitty system.

Afraid I can’t help with recommendations, mine is pretty much only used by my daughter.

Audible website it is then. I can’t understand why the iPad app is so poor either!!! Surely they don’t want people to cancel?

Some books-Orlando Figes stuff on Russia, especially A People's Tragedy is bloody fascinating, and Simon Sebag Montefiore's Romanovs bio.
David Suchet and Hugh Fraser reading Agatha Christie.
The Lost Pianos of Siberia
Falco series by Lindsey Davis
Stand Up For the Classics radio4 series is on there.
Beowulf by Seamus Heaney
All the PG Wodehouses are really well done on there
Caesar! by Mike Walker
Vasily Grossman Life and Fate and Stalingrad
& Stephen Fry doing the complete 70 odd hours of Sherlock Holmes is the best credit I ever spent.

I am currently listening to Barak Obama reading his autobiography. I love his voice and the book is interesting. I have found that I prefer books when the actual author is reading them.
