They've been on my wishlist for a while and have decided to bite the bullet and order online for Christmas as a treat- has anyone had them? would you say they were worth the money or are there better companies/ selections I could order online- I definitely want a box of mixed flavours not bars

Would also like to know this!

nibdedibble · 10/12/2020 15:18

I got some as a gift a few years ago. They were just fine. I absolutely love filled chocolates but I have had better. Mainly, the mouthfeel of the chocolate itself was average and the fillings a bit bland. Sorry!

Oxyiz · 10/12/2020 15:20

They were a bit of a letdown really, but then again I'm not sure what I was expecting. Something completely wondrous I guess Grin some people raved about them on a chocolate thread here a whole ago.

I love their brownies.

TreacleHart · 10/12/2020 17:19

Many specialist chocolate makers have already shut their Christmas order book 😥
Found this out ( unfortunately the other day ) likewise our favourite cheesemonger.

a mate got some for me
They were very nice, but not spectacular. maybe my palate is insufficiently refined Confused.

I guess he needed to find a new career. Everything must change Xmas Grin

I was one that raved about them on the previous thread. In fact any thread previously on here discussing chocolate that I've seen in the last 10 years I would have raved about them!

I used to work opposite their Royal Exchange shop and would go in there for the smell alone. So so good. I love their salted caramels. Delicious and fresh and feel like an absolute treat.

Not that I eat it often but I don't enjoy much other chocolate now, tastes waxy.

We've since moved from London but my DH treats me to a box for birthdays and special occasions and I look forward to them lots! It's my birthday in a few days so can't wait Grin

TheFlis12345 · 10/12/2020 22:37

Never eaten them but had a lovely friend who worked there and said they were absolutely vile to junior staff, so will never shop there.

Andrew2020 · 11/12/2020 09:02

Where ever he lays his chocolate, that’s his home..

PolaDeVeboise · 11/12/2020 09:04

Got some for my birthday. They were nice, but not sure worth the £££.

LadyofMisrule · 11/12/2020 10:47

No. There are loads of better brands out there.

crochetmonkey74 · 11/12/2020 10:58
