Had anyone else had problems with BOOTS (the chemist) recently?

I have placed three different orders with Boots over the past three weeks. Most of what I ordered were xmas gifts on the 3for2 offer.

In every order, at least one of the gifts has been damaged or already opened. For example, one of the items that arrived last week was a box of chocolates. The box had been opened (sticker half off) and box was torn and damaged. Thus, it wouldn't make a suitable xmas gift.

I e-mailed Boots and they said that I needed to return all the items as part of the 3for2 offer to get a refund, even though I was happy with the other two items. Annoyingly, one of the other two items has sold out, so I can't even re-order it.

Every one of my orders with them has had this problem!

That is annoying.

I ordered five items from them and a parcel turned up with only four of them. The delivery day for all the items have passed so I emailed three days ago. I emailed because they say there are long waits on their phone lines and I don't often have time to hang around on hold. But still no response.

I haven’t but I’ve heard they’re having real distribution issues at the moment. Lots of complaints on Twitter.

It's so annoying as they're normally one of the best and most reliable for Christmas presents, but they've really let me down this year :(

at least you've had a delivery I'm waiting for order I placed on 27/11 Boots blaming Royal Mail but other things I ordered with other companies after have arrived.

My recent order was VERY late, took much longer than the 10-14 days they said it would. I was starting to worry it's been nicked off the doorstep and no card left by courier, but when I followed the royal mail tracker and it had only just left the warehouse.

Ours came in 2 parcels supposedly left the same time. The one with vitamins and medicine in came on time, the one with xmas gifts and perfume was late so I guess it's to do with where the items were coming from.

Used to work for Boots. Boots.com are truly shit. Zero customer service.

I but when I went online to shop needed a couple of gifts and few bits for me. Everything I wanted was out of stock. No foundations, face wash, nail varnishes only had summery colours.

Boots on my local High Street has closed this year.
I don't know if there is a demise of the company generally ?

Resurrecting this thread to ask if people are still having problems with boots.com

I've just tried to log into my account to place an order & failed.

It said I'd used the wrong password too many times - password was correct & I'd only tried once.

I tried 'reset my password' - haven't had an email about it (yes, I checked Spam). I tried again - still no email.

I tried the c/s number on the w/s - it said there was a 30 minute wait & suspiciously, the first option given was 'press 1 for password reset'. Hmm. Not just me, then.

Is anyone else having problems?

The app is incredibly slow for me. I don't think the Mothercare thing has gone well either as the stuff always seems to be on offer and then out of stock. Delivery/dispatch slow this week too.

I hope they aren't in trouble but I remember saying to a friend about 18 months ago that the store we were in looked like it was well past it's date.

Apparently a small branch near me has been sold to an independent. Sounds like they're having a lot of problems.

I'm sure I ordered a load of stuff a few weeks ago. I remember doing it& thought I wouldn't take a screen print as normal as I'd not need it. No money seems to have come out & it wasn't on my account as I couldn't remember my password.

The Boots website is the worst I've ever used. Buying some make up this week and ended up with an extra item I didn't want because I couldn't get it out of the basket. Was easier to spend an extra couple of pounds than chuck my laptop out of the window!

Last year, I tried to log into my Boots account and couldn’t. After a marathon wait I spoke to someone who said that the account had been inactive and had been cancelled, so the email address wasn’t recognised. I asked how it was that they managed to send emails to that email address on a very regular basis then. She had no answer.

I had to use a different email address and set up another account. I’m not sure it’s worth it. I don’t seem able to use the Advantage card points to buy stuff online.
